If you're like me, you spend ages saving up for a piece of cool kit (or put a lot of effort into getting somebody else to buy cool kit for you), but then, after you get it, unpack it and set it up, there's an awkward What now? pause.

This is a collection of simple, two-dimensional projects using a laser cutter as the primary tool, aimed at learners and educators with little or no experience of using laser cutters.

I've focused mainly on projects that include the appropriate files, but the real point of them is inspiration for you and your students.  Asking them to reproduce any of these projects exactly is not the best of learning activities, but every great designer needs to get inspiration from somewhere.

When your learners are ready, they can then move on to 3D projects.
