After you've finished the circuit, you need to house the circuit in an enclosure. For my circuit I found an old line-connected telephone. If you use a telephone, like the one that is featured here, remove the screws that are holding the phone together and open it up. Take out all of the components. Next shave down or cut out all non-essential plastic from the inside of the phone. Try to open up as much space as possible to fit in our circuit board.

Next, find the jack that connects the handset to the base. Cut the wires that lead to the jack and reinstall it. This allows you to reconnect the handset, so the phone will still have the appearance of a working telephone.

We connect the main board to the LED display board with a one foot length of PS2 cable. To allow the cable a path to the cylinder, cut a small notch in the side of the telephone and the base of the LED enclosure.
