This old trick has amused me since my youth. I love seeing the face of disbelief first, and frustration later, those who witness it first.

Step 1:

Watch the video carefully, you may find yourself the trick without my say so. I do not know anyone who has discovered it, but you are someone especially clever..!
what im amercan
I don't understand your question, pardon.
y the fouren langug
The foreign language is because America is not in fact the only country on the globe. And there are in deed people on instructables who don't speak much english, and find that the spanish instructions are easier to understand.
Thanks, lukeyj15.

I am american too, Argentina is in South America.

South exists, too. It is a good thing to know that.
I am interested in the solution ;)
You can see at sec 25 in the video the way in that I grab the toothpick with my left hand (I am like Ned Flanders, left handed) and I press the nail of the middle finger over the toothpick. Then, I slide down the nail without reduce the pressure. The toothpick suddenly jump a very little distance, inconspicuous, and that jump makes jump the other toothpick.

Both the hand and the toothpick must be reasonably clean, in order to obtain the jump.
hahahaaha good trick

Friction (a little clue)

There´s an almost imperceptible movement .... and friction = other clue
OK, gracias.
. I couldn't figure it out. :(

I have a couple of theories. If there was sound in the video would I guess it easily?
The sound is irrelevant, it comes from TV.

You have to do the test, it is the best way to check if your theory is correct.
