Step 4 Fill 'Er Up

Now that you've got your hole, here's how to fill it up quick.

Put the funnel inside the hole, and put the ball not in between your legs. *cough.* Put it in something where itll lay steady. Grab about 5 - 8 or however many matches you can hold at a time, but have them lined up against each other like in the picture, and hold them over the funnel. Get your scissors and cut the heads like shown below. If you got good scissors, then it should cut em all into the funnel pretty easily. If its hard to cut even the first match, then you probably need better scissors (or maybe better cutting skills).

i wonder if you added BBs to the match heads , im thinking your friend wouldnt have been standing so close or at least with as much confidence.

made this and last night pulled a prank on my friend he has a tennis court (you should see where this is going) we went to play and we cut a ball in half glued a cirle of cardboard in the center so it only held half as much power and mixed match heads cap gun caps gun powder three sparklers and some crumpled up balls of aluminum foil and we hot glued it back together (note we made two one as a test) so anyway we went over and had him serve with a normal ball and we played a little bit and then when he messed up my other friend (the one in on the prank and the one with the ball) picked up the ball and swaped it out for the explosive one and when my friend served the ball to his surprise it exploded half way accross the court in a huge colorful fireball of death and it sort of mimicked the professional ones nobody got hurt but still dont do what i did (im a total dumbass) but what these work great for are those tennis ball cannons pack it with the stuff that i dicribed and put it inside the mortar and dont shake it like normal! just let it sit for an hour and it will still vaporize then set it off and the shock from the launch should set it off at about fifteen feet above the ground (ususally fifteen ive had them go off inside the mortar) so always set it off with an estes igniter set up

Fold up a towel and make a divot (sp?). This should hold the ball fairly steady. Got that from watching Alton Brown stir something once.
