A cool trick to do with an ordinary deck of cards where the deck "tells" you the choosen card. this is my first instructable so dont be harsh or anything.

Step 1: The Start...

First off youll need a deck of ordinary cards. take them out and mix them up.

Step 2: The Break

ask the volunteer to cut the deck any where. take the top half of the deck in your hand and put the bottom half face down on the table. make sure you remember the bottom card in the half of the deck thats in your hand. do this discreetly...

Step 3: Choosing the Card

fan the in your hand away from you and ask the volunteer to pick a card, remember it, and, if there is an audience, SHOW it to them.then the volunteer needs to put it face down on the half of the deck thats on the table.

Step 4: The Choosing of the Choosen Card

this is where knowing the bottom card comes in handy. once the choosen card is back on the bottom half of the deck, you place your half on top of the bottom half. then you break the deck in a random area well away from the original split and put the bottom on the top. put the cards up to your ear and flip thru them loudly saying stuff like "uh-huh" and "yes yes".now flip the cards over one by one and when you get to the bottom card of the original top halve, you know the next card is theirs.
