Bored during that chemistry class? Rather listen to music instead?
Well if you have an altoids tin and a drill, you can make this dream a reality!

Step 1: What You Need

You won't be needing much, and I did this project in about 5 minutes, and that includes taking pictures for this project.

You will need:
1. Your mp3 player. For this project I used a Creative Zen Stone.

2. An altoids can. I used a small 50 Mints 0.37 OZ tin, and my mp3 player fit snug in there. You want to make sure your music player will fit inside the tin, so buy according to your mp3 player's size.

3. Earphones and USB cable. The USB cable for your mp3 player that way you can load and charge your mp3 player. The earphones are self explanatory.

4. Drill and Drill bits. You're going to need to drill a hole inside the altoids tin.

Your title is misleading.Change is to something like "Altoids Zen case" because you title is saying you built an MP3 player from scratch in an Altoids tin.

Maybe, but you gotta find a way to cover that hole for the headphone jack, or the water will leak into the mp3 player. If you find a way, let me know! I would love to make a waterproof case (=
