The Bunny. A Steampunk Garter Pistol.

Step 5"Hammers" and a few extras..

"Hammers" and a few extras..
The next thing to do was fit the "hammers" I guessed that two barrels required two hammers. I'm not certain that is accurate (!), but either way, the theory fits the design and I think that the twin "bunny ear" hammers are a pretty important part of the look.

The next stage is when the pistol gets a little further embellishment, a decorative brass arrow, and adjustment knob and a little sight etc.

I notice most double-barreled guns have side-by-side barrels; however, the Le Mat grapeshot revolver had a small-caliber barrel firing nine pistol rounds on top of a larger barrel firing a single shotgun cartridge (although it utilized a single hammer with a movable firing pin instead of twin hammers; this was not however, a well-liked feature). It looked a lot like this gun. The sky pirates had better not attack you; you're accumulating quite a steampunk arsenal! Great instructable!

the hammers arent in the same position as your barrels, however you are correct in the sense that a two barrelled gun needs two hammers. in modern times, we have developped double barrel guns with one hammer, but two striking pins. your work really captures the victorian aspect of steampunk. keep it up =]
