Introduction: The C3 Crossbow

Picture of The C3 Crossbow
This is a very powerful crossbow which I created. It is fairly lightweight, has a range of 40+ feet, has a stock, and a sight.

THE MOD OF THE C3, THE C3.1 IS NOW UP: https://www.instructables.com/id/The-Lego-C31-Shotgun-Crossbow/ . IT IS A SHOTGUN-CROSSBOW, THE FIRST OF ITS KIND BECAUSE IT FIRES A SHELL WHICH RELEASES MULTIPLE PIECES IN ONE SHOT.

My website is http://sites.google.com/site/bblegobrickworks/

Step 1: Bottom Part 1

Some of the basic parts of the bottom needed.

Step 2: Bottom Part 2

Picture of Bottom Part 2

In this step, we create another piece to put on bottom, then attach some of the previously made pieces.

Step 3: Trigger Gear and Placing Trigger Gear

This step shows how to build the trigger gear, and put it on the bottom part.

Step 4: Bottom Part 3

This finishes the bottom part, and is a pretty big step.

Step 5: Rubber Band Holders/ Front of Crossbow

Easy step.

Step 6: Assembling Top

BIG Step, but this mostly finishes the crossbow

Step 7: Finishing Crossbow + Assembly

Putting on the rest of the flat pieces, and putting on the foward handhold. Picture 6-8 is showing the correction of the mistake I made earlier.

Step 8: The Stock

Okay, well I didnt really show exactly how to make it, but the pictures are fairly clear on the parts. This was my first attempt at a real stock.

Step 9: Ammo, Rubber Bands + Loading

Picture of Ammo, Rubber Bands + Loading

The ammo is a 2x2 brick with a thin piece on top. The trigger counter-weight rubberbands are 2 small rubberbands (a large amount of counter-weight rbs is not required due to the way this trigger system works). The firing rbs are 2 sets of 3 rubberbands tied together.

Building some time soon :D

darthpotato1 (author)2009-07-25

is this reffering to a part or just generic bricks

its just refering to a section of the crossbow

i mean the section where you have to fill in the front with bricks

which picture do you mean?

1st row, 5th pic and 3rd row 2nd pic

both times its just refering to the parts you need to put on, to make it look like the picture.

lego guns are not very powerfull bud this one looks only great ;)

brownfamily52 (author)2009-05-17

it worked very well. if found what worked best for ammo was a 2x3 with a 2x1(one of those with a connector piece in front) in front of it. on the top i put two 2x4 flats. I turn the ammo upside down so it is smooth on smooth when fired

i meant two 1x4 flats
