This is a good idea. Heating the ends to seal is a good upgrade.
Also, if your getting straws, get the colored variety, then you can color code the straw to the spice, cayanne in red, salt in yellow, pepper in green, etc.
I am going to make up a couple for friends!

THIS IS VERY USEFUL: Heat the ends with a lighter (dont burn) and then pinch, it will create a very goo seal that reusable, try it. Also you may need scissors or knife to open these. Also works with other plastic food packets Try it.
