Introduction: The Easy Offroad Truck

About: Hello. I'm JonnyBGood! I'm a college student who now has a degree in Mechanical Engineer Technology. (MET) (excessively worded to mean a person who builds stuff).I enjoy building K'nex guns and many other thin…

Hello! I'm JonnyBGood and I thought today would be a good day to share my Easy Offroad Truck.

I built this about a year ago and was used for ramp jumping competitions against my brother. We had these competitions all the time, and we started useing suspension to make sure the axles wouldn't break on the ramp or on the landing (we used about a 45 degree angled ramp). This truck only has rear suspension because we couldn't make a suspension strong enough to be on the front tires, which took the majority of impact from the ramp. This truck signifies a change from complex designs that used a lot of pieces to simple, sturdy design that were easier to repair and, for some reason stayed together much better.

I enjoyed this truck enough to keep it year so I figured it's time it's shared so others can enjoy it, so please, build it, it will be fun!

Step 1: The Cab Assembly

Follow the pictures and you should be fine. EXCEPT that I put the the red connector on the front of the cab on incorrectly so attach it faceing the opposite direction than shown.

Step 2: The Cab Assembly Part 2

The rear suspension assembly uses orange flexy rods and they are connected to the red connectors and bent downward through the floor and around the yellow rod. Then the orange rod is bent up to rest on the white rod. If they want to slide downward and out, attach the gray connectors as shown.

Step 3: Cab Assembly Part 3 the Rear Wall

Easy  stuff, Copy and continue.

Step 4: Cab Assembly Part 4 the Roof

Keep it up last! Last Cab Assembly step!

Step 5: The Bed Sides

Continue copying the pictures.

Step 6: The Hood

Continue the copying.

Step 7: The Front Wheels

Okay this maybe a little hard, but if you survived the suspension, this is nothing! I included a cutaway view so you can see how to attach the front wheel assembly correctly.

Step 8: Rear Wheels

This should be straight forward. My only comment is you don't have to snap on random connectors to use as spacers, I used them because they don't come off when crashing and losing a tire.

Step 9: Tailgate

Party!!!!!! Wait.... just build this, your almost done.

Step 10: Done! Party!

Congradulations You have built my easy offroad truck! If you have any questions or concerns just leave me a comment and I will answer it as soon as possible. Please see the next step for an additional challenge.

Step 11: Now, What You Can Do.

Well I really like this truck, it has a simple body and a good exterior look to it. My challenge to you is build it and put your own twist on it! I did and I created this sweet low rider edition with doors and strong slick look to it. What can you do to it? Please put a picture of your modified version in the comments and I will include it in the instructable.
