We have a special needs little guy who would stand in front of the TV, regardless of you recommend he does not be a door. So we put the TV on the wall, but I really don't like looking at the cords, and after covering them up, realized I didn't like looking at the wire cover. And the dust that would collect on the dark console - UGH!

Step 1: The Beginning

So I got in touch with Ana White, of www.ana-white.com and asked her to make me plans for a tall corner console. She was more than happy to help. :)

Step 2: Kreg Jig Is Great With This Project

I was pretty foolish throughout this whole build, as I was intent on building and less intent on taking photos. But I did get a photo of the every necessary pocket holes made with the Kreg Jig. It is a simple tool that makes joints super strong. By the way, here is the link to the plan she made me for this build: http://ana-white.com/2012/06/plans/tall-corner-media-console

Step 3: Time for Finishing

Of course you can paint or stain your final project and I went with different layers of paint.

Step 4: Finished!

No more yelling at Jack to get out of the way of the TV. :)

Really nice!

I love your choice of colors for the piece and the curtains as well. You have quite an eye!
Looks great

It's hard to find decent corner-of-the-room furniture like this. Gotta make your own!

Well done!
