There is a big difference from baking soda and the box you show in the picture, That is made especially for cat odor and cost around $3 to $4. Regular baking soda is under a dollar. Arm & Hammer makes them both.

I've used both. From my experience, the only difference is a bit of fragrance in the much more expensive "cat litter deodorizer". The baking soda is the active ingredient. I buy it in bulk from Sam's Club, and it's a very cheap and effective solution.
