Step 1: Your Heart Bag

The Heart Bag is an emergency supply kit that provides a home, health, and security for those who need it. In these canvas bags, sporting a medical cross in a heart logo, is a canvas sheet, rope, first aid kit, food, and instructions on how to make a tent. These bags can support a wide variety of situations, whether you're homeless, affected by a natural disaster, or just want to be prepared, The Heart Bag can help you. These bags are light weight and compact. Fit one in your trunk, garage, or keep it on your back.

Step 2: Building Your Tent

Find a suitable environment to set up your shelter, preferably an area with two trees that are somewhat close together. Tie your rope onto one tree and stretch it across to the other. Make sure the knot is secure and has no excess slack. Unroll your tarp and drape it over the rope, secure with rocks or stakes to prevent the shelter from collapsing.

ALTERNATE

Another way to build your tent is to create a sort-of lean-to. Wrap the top of the tarp around a tree and secure it with the rope. Put rocks or stakes around the bottom to make sure the wind doesn't blow the tarp. As this is a different way to set up your shelter, it is recommended that you build a simple tent.
