The Holy Cow Greeting Card Bomb

The Holy Cow Greeting Card Bomb
This is by far the most fun you can have with a rubber band for the least amount of effort.

The Holy Cow Greeting Card Bomb is a very easy and fun practical joke you can play on anyone of any age. It will take you all of 5 minutes to make, load, prime and deploy. You can even send it safely through the mail without fear of it going off on anyone other than the intended recipient (hereafter known as "victim")

It works by making a sudden loud racket inside an innocent-looking greeting card ("bait") as soon as it's opened. Scares the bejeezers out of the victim, and gives everyone else a good ol' giggle.

Using a rubber band, a small paperclip is wound up on the band which is stretched across a wire frame you make for the device (you'll see all that in the next steps). The Holy Cow Greeting Card Bomb is primed and placed carefully inside the greeting card bait which is then placed in it's envelope. The bait card/envelope can be sealed and mailed to the victim, or just handed to them as is..

The closed flat card prevents the paperclip from unwinding on the rubber band. As soon as the victim opens the card the paperclip spins and clatters against the card, causing a quite a stir and startling the victim. The victim quickly recovers from the ordeal and is instantly impressed by your clever device and fine craftmanship.

I'm still debating, whether or not, I should put these in all the books at my house. On the upside, I get the scare the piss out of people. On the downside, it might just shred the pages and I might get punched in the face.

this has a famous name, rattle snack eggs trick. it's old school. i've know it for years. the prank says to put DANGER: RATTLE SNAKE EGGS! on the envolope. i think it's way better to not. the reason: everyone knows this prank now. so, if they think its normal mail, theyll be unsuspecting. they think its normal mail.

I've seen that one a long time ago... I was at some western store and they had small envelopes labeled "Danger: Rattlesnake Eggs" when you opened it... you had to change your shorts.

Dried Scorpion? L

This is a very old trick. Previous versions had the card in an envelope identified as "dried scorpion" - it would be played on girls who would be nervous about handling a dried scorpion from the start, so were more scared when it went off. L

It's one of those tricks of psychology - make your victim nervous and apprehensive and the shock is amplified. I think I may have seen this from my grandparents, but it's so long ago I can't be sure. L
