The Hornet

the hornet is a basic, reliable K'nex pistol.

SPECS.
fires blue size rods
HAS NO TRIGGER!
--you pull back the bolt to fire
v. reliable
range is 30+ ft w/ normal ammo and rubber bands.
more than able to outfight a El Diablo with some mods

This project looks awesome but there isn't enough documentation of you actually making it to be a full Instructable. There are two things which you could do. 1) If you happen to have images of you making your project you can create some more steps, add those additional photos into your Instructable and then republish your Instructable. 2) If you don't have any more pictures of you working on your project, that's ok too. That just means that your project is better suited to be submitted as a slideshow. Your images are already in your library, and you can use the same text that you have already written for your Instructable so it should only take a few minutes to create your slideshow and show the world what you made! Thanks for your submission and let me know if you have any questions along the way.

do you have a better way to break this project down? I'd seriously love to hear it. I just see that you need two steps, Build the parts and slam 'em together. Since the fun is tiny and it lacks a complicating trigger, I thing the hypercondensed two step version is fine. I AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS FROM ANYONE. ty!

This is exactly how I did my MFP2 instructable, Step 1: torn apart gun, Step 2: Finished! I actually prefer these kind of instructions over detailed ones for simple guns.

I made a trigger scope sight barrel extention and stock oh and a foe grip and I even taped a torch 2 it

 oh... my bad. it's the pico tavor. it has a trigger, and the mechanism has yet to fail but it's not quite as good as the Hornet in terms of range.

oh thanks i went ahead and made another triggered rifle though, without skipping from schematics. i just added a longer barrel, stock, and more bands. i had 136 feet 5 inches when tested. to bad i dont have a camera...

hes smart with mags on this kinds of guns, but he isnt the best in triggers.
well making a trigger is not that hard=]
look up some guns and you will see the mechanism

thats a nice, simple, awesome gun that made my friend cry cause i hit him in the mouth across the room with 6 rubber bands attached the gun sorta broke, but was easily fixed(its made out of knex, after all)

that's insane. this was designed as a close assault gun, not a range weapon.... did it break? do anything funny? still worked afterwards? awesome.................... I think that's a record for a bolt-action type gun.........

nah it works fine i just duct tape the ram. i go crazy with bands ;D btw i use black rods and i also even out the bands like 3 up 3 down
