The Irish Carbomb!

Learn how to pour this St. Patricks day classic, The Irish Carbomb! This is a serious drink and is not intended for people with a weak stomach.

Step 1: What You Need

What you are gonna need for this drink,

3/4 a glass of dark Irish beer

a shot glass and a spoon

1/2 shot of Irish Whiskey
and
1/2 shot of Irish Creme.

You might want to think about just calling it a Carbomb and drop the irish part. Wasn't really all that long ago folk were lossing friends and family due to real bombs in irland. i wont serve them when they are ordered that way. Its just a little disrespectfull when you take a minute to think about it. I'm sure you weren't meaning to get under anyones skin. just some food fer thought. heck i've worked at two pubs where the boss actually threw people out fer ordering them that way.

droping irish from the drink would ruin it, there are other types of Car bomb drinks, the irish one involves irish whiskey and bailies if you order a car bomb, good bars would ask you which type....know your drinks

 oh and smiles, any of the wisky bomb drinks aren't "Car bombs" Bomb refers to the droping of a shot in to a pint. so Jager bombs aren't known as German Car bombs, Flaming DR. Peps aren't known as an Ambulance Bomb or some other such nonsense. The dixi bomb isn't called the Confederate Car bomb. A Firecracker isn't called a....Gross car bomb. I suppose the iraqi car bomb is a good one.  But clearly so many of you missed the point of my original statement. so perhaps you'll all come comment on my first instructable =). untill then kenavo

then there are ones people made up like we made an offspring of irish car bomb called the suicide car bomb where instead of whiskey you put 180 proof everclear on top.

plus how are drinks with the word Bomb in them any less offesive if you find irish car bomb offensive, if your that offended by a harmless name of a drink that has irish ingredients thus named irish car bomb, then maybe drinking isnt such a good idea for you especially drinks that require you to consume them quickly. my point was your being way to politically correct, that is rediculous

Does this work if i drop a shot of Bailey's in a jug of Guiness? (so using bailey's instead of combining the irish wiskey and irish creme... or is bailey's ONLY the irish creme part, and i still need irish wiskey?)

you can do it with just bailey's, but its not technically a irish car bomb till you put some irish wiskey on top of the bailey's wierd i know...

Yup, that's what I want. A drink that, if you don't make it right or drink it quick, could "taste like %&*$." And thinking about it, after drinking one of these you are apt NOT to be able to make it right. It sure seemed like a lot of dribbling of whiskey onto the table, too. Is it just me, or does this seem like a waste of perfectly good whiskey? Sacrilege! Good way to get a lot of alcohol into the bloodstream in a hurry. Go Spring Break!

Great 'ible. Very informing :) We have something similar here in South Africa. We call it a Springbok. That's an iconic buck here and the name of our national Rugby team. Same idea but with Amarula cream and peppermint liquer on top. Our teams colours, white(ish) and green. Very nice.

The whiskey is worse than the curdled Irish Cream, lol. Then maybe my buddy had a cheap bottle, but it was NASTY. lol And I like whiskey, go figure.

Charming name... Another fun one which is quite similar is baby guinness, it's a layered shot of... *Remembers fuzzily* Baileys on top, whiskey and something else underneath, I'll get the recipe up it's a good one, also get two shots of creme de menthe, knock one back, chug this and take another, it's like choc mint ice cream and with the creme de menthe you never have morning breath, peeing green is a possible outcome...

If you haven't had a car bomb you really should have one. Maybe two or three if it has been a long day at work. Do be careful to not wait to long (for those who haven't had a blow job shot).
