Over the next few months I am going to be introducing a series new and unused concepts in hopes that the community can perhaps see something that they can use in these guns, even if it merely be the hammer I used in this gun.  There are hundreds of you out there and so there are hundreds of different ways of looking at this gun, and thus hundreds of possibilities for it.  So this will be the first of a series of concept guns that I will be introducing: The K-1.

The K-1

A few months ago Oblivitus introduces the idea of a removable power source and I thought it had huge potential.  The one I use in this gun fits in very similarly to the way that the magazine fits into my KLS v.2.  The gun itself utilizes a hammer to fire rounds out of an 8-shot turret.  Its range is minimal and the gun is rather poorly put together, but the important part is the power source.  I just find that people get more excited about things if they can see them put to use.

One thing leads to another:

Although the K-1 is pretty impractical, I see some things going for the components of this gun.  Although the power source could only get three shots off max, I noticed that while I was turning the gears to get the rest of the shots off, the "battery" still had some juice in it.  I am going to use this experience to try to make an "assisted" semi auto, where a mechanical energy source will be used to assist the finger in transferring power to a firing system.

Let me know if you have any ideas for these concepts and before you decide to post ANOTHER mag-fed, pin-fire gun, think about how many are already out there and ask yourself "what can I do to stand out?"

Don't plan on leaving any time soon.

Hi I'm sorry to bother you but please could you post the power pack I really want to build it even if it doesn't work and I don't get it from the drawing oblivitus did
Awsome! Wear a sock!

Hi guys i have a similar idea. The other day i was building a psuedo gun and it shot 70 feet. the reason why i was so succesful was becuase of the excapement system that i built. now if we can put the rubber bads and the thing that holds the rubber bands in a mag. if we put a mag in that mag( built into it) then all we have to do is create an escapment mech that allows the mag to go into it and pull the pin in the mag we should be able to just fire it with out any extra force when we pull the trigger. im going to start as soon as i get nore pieces. tell me what u guys think.
Awsome as always Kinetic!

Awesome gun. Any chance you can make instructions for this particular gun? I know it doesn't shoot far, but i want to make it just for the sheer fact that it look awesome.
Kinetic (author)  mulletman62 years ago
Unfortunately I have already taken most of it apart in order to build a promising new slam-fire gun (see comments below). But I can take pictures of the partly-dismantled gun and with that along with the pictures I already have up I think you'd be able to make it, perhaps even improve it.
If you could do please. I will attempt to make it. I'm only really any good at making gun's that other's have made, rather than making my own/improving existing guns, but i'll give it a try :)

These are all i have man, sorry if it isn't enough. You might be interested in my new one though.

Can you add these pics to the slideshow? And could mulletman6 have permission to post instructions for this gun?
Kinetic (author)  tytiger332 years ago
Sure I'll add them. And yes of course mulletman can post it.
Awesome. I'll take some photo's of the guns internals to help people make it
Thank you! And could you send the picture files to Kinetic so he can put the pics into the slideshow?
Np. Will take me a few days as i'm busy, but they will be done. Was going to make them into an "instructable", so then i at least have one - then Kinetic can put a link to it
OK.
Right .. i didn't have enough pieces to re-build the whole gun, but i re-made the front of it and took photo's of it layer by layer. It was done on my phone, so i dunno how they will turn out. Hopefully they are good enough to help people make it
I'll give it a try and see what i can do. I will make your new gun when you've finished it :)

Been working on this today - got the gun made - going to attempt the "battery pack" bit tomorrow - don't fully understand how that bit works, but will try anyway :)
Kinetic (author)  mulletman62 years ago
Thats great man good job. I do have the "battery pack" still completely intact so I'll get images of it up asap.
Thank you. I'll start trying to build it from the pictures you already have uploaded and see how i go - then anymore you post, i can use to help if i have no luck with it. Regards posting instructions - that would depend if Kinetic was alright with me doing it if i give him all the credit. Would want to try and sort some sort of trigger before posting it tho.
Update - i've finished the "battery pack" Its not very easy getting the rubber bands on it, but i eventually managed to - am using 2 of the elastic bands the UK Royal Mail use and one on the hammer. Got it to shoot about 12ft so far.

One problem i'm having is that you can't wind the "battery pack" very much, otherwise the elastic bands will snap and a lot of their potential power is used just stretching them round the "battery pack".

I will keep it built and will work on it when i have time. Problem with having it built is that now i don't have enough bits for your new gun - will have to take something else apart.
Are you going to post instructions for this gun when you are done with it Mulletman?
Depends if i get it to work properly and if Kinetic is alright with me posting them.
I hope he is ok with it.
Hopefully - i'll give him the credit for it :)
