Introduction: The Lamp

About: I love wood turning

I made this as a gift when I was 14. It is 169 pieces! Please vote! Comment any ideas or question, and please favorite and vote! Thank you! Hope you enjoy! Thank You

Step 1: Get the Lumber

I used blood wood and maple.

Step 2: Cut

To cut the 169 I used a chop saw, the trick is to glue them up in 1/2s and then sand the 2 sides together the sand the faces flat. To clamp them use rubber bands since they are cheap to glue them up.

Step 3: Turn

Since there's not end grain it is very fast and very fun to turn it took me less then 30 minutes to turn and sand, I sanded to 800 grit.

Step 4: Assemble

I did not put the finish on at this point, in risk of denting it.

Step 5: Finish

I used poly to finish it it took lots of thin coats. I am very happy with how it turned out.
