These little books work as my short term memory. I developed them because small note books are poorly made, too expensive, and are too valuable to lose. These short form books go with me every where and have totally redefined the way I work creatively as well as stay on task.

It's not 'their' technique, this fold has been around for much, MUCH longer than that site :) I learnt this off mum about 10 years ago, who's known it since she was a kid. So it's definitely not their technique, and as with most origami, the style isn't owned.

Nice notebook. While I love using my moleskine, I can also see the use of these small disposable books. Good instructable!

I like it, simple yet cool. Of course, I made one as soon as I read this. These would definitely be a help for me. I already carry around a notebook for ideas, but nothing I can easily put in my pocket. Thanks.

In second grade, we used to write books, and the moms would "bind" them. The main idea was to cut out cover sized pieces of cereal boxes. The cardboard would be wrapped with decorative paper. If your books tend to get smooshed, folded, etc., it may be something to look into.

Nice. I use these in lessons, but without the covers, as handy-sized revision booklets.

Click start in the upper right and it lets you format each page with templates(grids, lines, calenders, sudoko, etc) then print the page and follow Rabustos instructions or those from the pocketmod site.

Or there is a word template and probably others on the net.

I used to have a template for these kind of books for WordPerfect 6.0 (the DOS one!), but I lost it. It made for a novel kind of business card with the pages glued instead of stapled. Okay, it was the nineties, I was young, I had a computer... What can I say?
