The Pocket Rocket (Improved)

The Pocket Rocket (Improved)
This is the improved version of the pocket rocket. So just about everyone loves rockets. Who wouldn't? They fly and spit fire out the end. Whats better than a dangerous flying fire hazard? Let me say that any injuries cause by this project is not my fault. Fire is dangerous and when preparing for launch remember to clear everything easily flammable in its path. This is the pocket edition and i have crafted this version to be more safe than the others resulting in less (painful) burns. This project is extremely fun and any children tinkering with match sticks should be under constant parental watch.

For this project you will need the following items:

-Match sticks
-Tin foil
-Small box
-Lighter
-Paperclip
-A clear area
-Scrap piece of flat solid metal
-Pencil
-Pliers
-Tape
By the end of this project you will learn how to create a match stick rocket and also know the science behind it!

Step 1Obtaining The Necessities

Obtaining The Necessities
For the first step you are going to need a paper clip (large ones), pliers, pencils, and a pair of hands. First take the paperclip and bend out the middle from the edges to make a L shaped 90 degree formation.

Second, take out the pliers and pencil and keep them handy. Using the longer end of the two, bend the hanging end of the paper clip  outwards into a circle. Refer to picture. Use your pliers and bend that piece of metal around the pen or pencil.
