About: Trotec Laser Canada provides laser engraving and laser cutting machines for processing a wide variety of materials. Cut, engrave and mark wood, paper, metal, acrylic, leather, stone, plastics and many more. O…

Attention Punisher fans! We have a special video showing you how you can customize a knife with the infamous Punisher logo and design with Trotec's Speedy 300 flexx laser machine! Watch out Daredevil!

Step 1: Choosing a Laser Machine

To engrave the images we decided to use the Speedy 300 flexx laser machine.

This machine is able to do both CO2 and fiber laser engravings but we chose the fiber laser because the plating on the knife is black oxide.

The coating on black oxide is harder than anodized aluminium coating so CO2 won't do as well.

Step 2: Choosing the Lens

We used a 5 inch lens because we have some varying heights on the knife itself as the blade tapers down.

The 5 inch lens gives us more depth of field and can stay in focus more as we traverse across the different knife heights

Step 3: Croping the Knife

What we did was take an image of our knife with our phone, then uploaded it to our graphics software (in this case Corel Draw), then we outlined the knife to make sure we know how our image would like like and positioned the image for engraving. You can see it in the artwork attached.

Step 4: Engrave!

With Trotec's Speedy 300 flexx laser machine we used 100 power and 55 speed to get the perfect engraving.

As you can see dispute the variety of heights on the knife there are still many details and all are in focus!

Caution: please leave the punishing to the Punisher.
