Problem, men also might have a special someone, or a particular memory they wish to keep near, either when away from home, or at times when things are a little less happy. The problem is, men can not really wear lockets, as a locket is a thing that women normally use.
Thus I introduce the Man Locket.
Based around a ring on a chain, which is something any man can manage to pull off.
Step 1: Find a suitable ring.
Obviously, this is a great way to 'up-cycle' an old ring that doesn't fit, or maybe a present that you don't wear.
Whatever the reason, bring an old piece of jewelry back to life.
Step 2: Cutting circles.
I decided that I wanted the outer sections to be leather, so I cut out some leather circles from some scraps i had.
There are 3 ways you can easily cut out your sections.
- If your lucky, (like me) find a circular shape(coin) you can cut around thats just right
- Use the inside of your ring to cut around
- Measure the ring, and use a compass to cut out circles
Step 3: Further circles.
One of my fiance, and one to hold a microSD card.
The first was made by sticking a photo onto some card, and then drawing a little something for the back, the second was made with 3 layers of thin card with a space to hold the microSD card.
I then attached one piece of leather on the back of the microSD holder.
