The Storm 22 K'NEX pistol

Hi, this is my 5^th knex gun posted, and my 9^th instructable.
This is a pistol that comes with an optional sling for easy access and storage for knex wars and for fun. It features an internal hopper, true trigger and comfy handle.

Version history

• V1.0: a single shot, though quite good looking and powerful pistol.
• V1.1: I added a better firing pin
• V1.2: I made the internal hopper and sling.

Somethings wrong with me, I can't stop modding this gun!
It's really addictive!

But now my parents have confiscated it cos my brother said I threatened him with it, which I didn't =( (much)

Problem is I'll have to canabalise it to build any other K'nex guns in the future =( O well, I'll have the memories.

I didn't ACTUALLY threaten him, I was just waving it around un loaded and not charged, but my parents didn't like it...

Great instructable! I thought you might like to see some mods that I made to mine, as I had some time on my hands and some more K'nex. Most of the changes are only for aesthetic appeal and aiming, but the extra elastic band I added increses the power significantly (!). I also designed a new trigger that can withstand the pull of stronger elsatic bands without snapping, I added more Grey and Buff 'guidence' pieces and made the handle stronger and longer. One disadvantage that I found was that it is now impossible to load the yellow 'bullets' in the right way, they have to be slotted in through the end :(

O yeah and I added a stand at the front for photo purposes only, 'cause it isn't very sturdy or strong.

ok i did some research on tourettes syndrom and the tick are anything from short uncontrolled jerky movements or words to long actions or phrases ( also un controllable) that may seem purposful like picking up a forl or other item and sniffing it or sayin something not meant to be said ( like oompa-loompa said)

Tan clips have a bit jutting out, you can sand that down to get the equivalent of a blue clip.

Sigh. This has been asked at least twice.... It holds the firing pin down from bending. When I made that (in october last year) I didn't have any black's or clear's. I now have one black and 15 clear rods.

Modded it more, it doesn't jam, and it has a mag, not a hopper, and the mag holds 5, but it is small enough for the sights to work, I may add a slide, wanna see a pic?

dude i seriously can't make a decision! i made a gun that is is silent, acurate with a scope, and has a range between 45-50 ft. the only downsidde is sometimes it doesnt work that well... SHOULD I POST?!!!?

a hopper is like a magazine, but it relies on gravity alone to reload.

cool, i might build this gun when i get these guns out of the way (my design) -AR-4 commando v2- more accurate than the first one (comes with bipod) -Mamba 12-g double-barrel shotgun (could possibly be a single barrel) -Harpoon RL bazooka with a pull back mechanism (pulls the band back so you wont have to)
