I considerend not clIckIng on this because of the poor spelling. S-U-R-V-I-V-A-L, G-R-E-A-T-E-S-T, S-E-W-I-N-G, S-A-N-D-W-I-C-H

Few little notes: Rubbing alcohol kills skin cells, which basically creates "food' for the bacteria. It's not good in the long run essentially. You dont need rubber bands. You would be better off with 550 paracord. Paper clips? Just.... Just no. Add a space blanket or some sort of shelter. Don't focus so much on fishing. Add duct tape. Add Tin foil. Add water purifiers Use waterproof matches Don't focus so much on band-aids, I would go with some polysporin and gauze pads instead. Add a bandana Signal mirror Whistle Theres more stuff you need to do but I'll leave it at that Oh and I DID do better ;)

My 0.02 cents:

Remove the following:
- paper clips. You are not going to need them for anything more than forcing a desk draw open.
- 2 alcohol wipes (keep one: it's emergency tinder as well as a medical tool antiseptic)
- Matches
- Bobber
- 5 fish hooks (leaving 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big hook)
- The thinner rubber bands
- All but 2 of the medium fishing weights

Add the following:
- 2 non alcohol based antiseptic wipes
- A few condoms. Each one can carry a couple of pints of water...
- Potassium Permanganate tablets for water purification
- mini bic
- scalpel blades
- 3 more safety pins
- magnesium bar & saw (never need matches again!)
- heavier rubber bands
- a bandage roll
- some more safety (bobby?) pins
- signal mirror
- pack everything with cotton wool (cleaning wounds and more tinder)

That should all fit into the package.

If possible, throw some boiled sweets in there too. Good for morale and instant energy and sugar rush!

@Ledzeppie: Giving the size of the pocket survival kit, antibiotics and survival blanket are more for a belt pack and not a pocket pack.Flat antiseptic non-alcohol wipes are great for basic first aid which is all you can hope for in a pocket kit... Now a belt kit or a BOB is a totally different kettle of fish!

I think this user is a little young. Bad spelling, not practical survival kit, bad camera skills, he even has an Instructable entitled: "The most greatst survile kit"... Sad. No Offense to the author in any way.

How come a pocket dictionary is never part of these kits? You could fall into the hands of a roving tribe of head hunting English teachers, who will boil you in oil unless you correctly spell "chrysanthemum."

I hate cyanocrylate. I had a bad experience with it today. you'd think they would put something that instantly bonds skin in a more leakproof container.
