Introduction: The Greatst Survivle Kit of Them ALL!!

Picture of The Greatst Survivle Kit of Them ALL!!

Now I have made a lot of different survivle kits if you've seen my other Instructables, but this is the grand daddy of any of any old survivle kit and it's only slightly larger than others but it is the best. A simple psp carrying case into an awesome survivle kit.

Step 1: Step 1

Picture of Step 1

Materials

PSP carrying case
10 rubber bands
3 big paper clips
7 little paper clips
3 different alcohol wipes
2 hammer head band aids
2 normal band aids
1 butter fly band aid
2 sticks with fishing on them
10 hooks(different sizes is OK)
Some soewing needles
Some yarn
2 big weights
4 little weights
1 thin weight
1 big hook
8 rubber fishing bait
Box of matches
And some extra matches
A tiny bobber
1 bobby pin
4 tooth picks
dental floss
Most important a swiss army knife
And a swiss card lite
red sandwithch

Step 2: Step 2

Picture of Step 2

First cut the two straps for holding the psp so it won't get in the way.

Step 3: Step 3

Picture of Step 3

Drop in the swiss army knife, the swiss card lite, the box of matches, and finaly the extra bundle of matches in the case as shown below.

Step 4: Step 4

Picture of Step 4

Drop in the two sticks of fishing line, the tooth picks, and the bobber as shown below.

Step 5: Step 5

Picture of Step 5

Drop in the 2 normal band aids on top of the swiss card lite. Then take the 3 alcohol wipes and place them on top of the band aids.

Step 6: Step 6

Picture of Step 6

Now drop in the 3 big band aids on top of the alcohol wipes as shown.

Step 7: Step 7

Picture of Step 7

Take the paper clips and drop them on the side where the matches are.

Step 8: Step 8

Picture of Step 8

Take all your hooks and carefully put them in one of the little pockets in the psp case. And put them in so the hooks hang out(if you don't they would get stuck in the fabric). Then stuff some of the rubber fishing lures and tie them together with a rubber band, then stuff them in the middle pocket.

Step 9: Step 9

Picture of Step 9

Take the yarn and the 4 little weights and drop them in as shown. Then take the 2 big weights and drop on in on each side like in the second picture. Then put in the little ring of dental floss.

Step 10: Step 10

Picture of Step 10

Now drop in all the rubber bands.

Step 11: Stepm 11

Picture of Stepm 11

Know just close it and your done. It's a bit larger than most survivle kits on insructibles, but it is the best.

What about some tin foil to boil...what will u cook in?

CSI worker (author)2014-03-20

Good job

Survivorkidjr (author)2014-03-11

I think tinfoil. For boiling and cooking

survivor dude (author)2008-07-27

Like all of you can do better!!

Few little notes: Rubbing alcohol kills skin cells, which basically creates "food' for the bacteria. It's not good in the long run essentially. You dont need rubber bands. You would be better off with 550 paracord. Paper clips? Just.... Just no. Add a space blanket or some sort of shelter. Don't focus so much on fishing. Add duct tape. Add Tin foil. Add water purifiers Use waterproof matches Don't focus so much on band-aids, I would go with some polysporin and gauze pads instead. Add a bandana Signal mirror Whistle Theres more stuff you need to do but I'll leave it at that Oh and I DID do better ;)

My 0.02 cents:

Remove the following:
- paper clips. You are not going to need them for anything more than forcing a desk draw open.
- 2 alcohol wipes (keep one: it's emergency tinder as well as a medical tool antiseptic)
- Matches
- Bobber
- 5 fish hooks (leaving 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big hook)
- The thinner rubber bands
- All but 2 of the medium fishing weights

Add the following:
- 2 non alcohol based antiseptic wipes
- A few condoms. Each one can carry a couple of pints of water...
- Potassium Permanganate tablets for water purification
- mini bic
- scalpel blades
- 3 more safety pins
- magnesium bar & saw (never need matches again!)
- heavier rubber bands
- a bandage roll
- some more safety (bobby?) pins
- signal mirror
- pack everything with cotton wool (cleaning wounds and more tinder)

That should all fit into the package.

If possible, throw some boiled sweets in there too. Good for morale and instant energy and sugar rush!

@Ledzeppie: Giving the size of the pocket survival kit, antibiotics and survival blanket are more for a belt pack and not a pocket pack.Flat antiseptic non-alcohol wipes are great for basic first aid which is all you can hope for in a pocket kit... Now a belt kit or a BOB is a totally different kettle of fish!

I agree with these suggestions. imho, I think that all of them are "gotta haves". I'm a pyro junkie though! I carry waterproof matches, mini bic, the bottom of a pop can that has been polished by toothpaste or chocolate. I also have cotton balls wrapped in 00 grade steel wool and use a 9 volt battery to shock and ignite the cotton balls, and swiss fire. Five ways may be overkill to some, but I was a Boy Scout and to be prepared meant to me that if something fails, always have a back up plan. So, pyro junkie I am!! Fire Fire Fire!

rogue 2 (author)teaaddict3142013-09-27

Couldn't have said it better myself

Arbitror (author)teaaddict3142009-06-08

I think this user is a little young. Bad spelling, not practical survival kit, bad camera skills, he even has an Instructable entitled: "The most greatst survile kit"... Sad. No Offense to the author in any way.

codongolev (author)teaaddict3142009-06-08

pwn.

Arbitror (author)codongolev2009-06-08

Ya.

Funny, you would think a guy with a name like survivor dude would at least think to keep the matches in something waterproof.

triple pwn.

Arbitror (author)codongolev2009-06-08

Totally!

sparky23 (author)survivor dude2009-01-08

Well even if we cant,we still can spell better.

codongolev (author)sparky232009-06-08

double pwn.

Arbitror (author)codongolev2009-06-08

Yup.

djzadjza (author)2011-06-25

I considerend not clIckIng on this because of the poor spelling. S-U-R-V-I-V-A-L, G-R-E-A-T-E-S-T, S-E-W-I-N-G, S-A-N-D-W-I-C-H

killerjackalope (author)2008-07-27

Survival, not survivle not particularly amazing, and use the spellchecker

snoyes (author)killerjackalope2008-07-27

How come a pocket dictionary is never part of these kits? You could fall into the hands of a roving tribe of head hunting English teachers, who will boil you in oil unless you correctly spell "chrysanthemum."

killerjackalope (author)snoyes2008-07-27

Exactly, the dangers of the civilised world... I do believe Kiteman has been seen concerting with these tribes, something about effects and affecting...

dombeef (author)killerjackalope2008-09-16

lol!

or cyanocrylate and maybe antidisestablishmentarianism.

I hate cyanocrylate. I had a bad experience with it today. you'd think they would put something that instantly bonds skin in a more leakproof container.

haha i hate when it does that.

superglue is so great that I just can't put it down!

literally.

edenn1423 (author)2009-02-06

I don't understand all the rubber bands and paperclips. Office survival?

fretted (author)edenn14232011-02-07

I'll bet if your a good enough aim you could kill a bird or a rodent with a rubber band and paper clip FOOD im pretty lethal with a good rubberband and a large paper clip just ask my sister...

He he he he

Arbitror (author)edenn14232009-04-13

Paperclip:
The only tool you will ever need.

Guess who said that!

codongolev (author)Arbitror2009-06-08

bet he's dead, whoever he is.

Arbitror (author)codongolev2009-06-08

...Magyver... How old are you?

codongolev (author)Arbitror2009-06-09

fifteen. but I could have guessed it anyway. but really. put a man in a forest with just a paperclip. it would break after a while (from bending it so much).

Arbitror (author)codongolev2009-06-09

I was wonderin' your age because Magyver is an older show...

lilpepsikraker (author)Arbitror2009-08-11

he's not dead.

Numb-Nuts (author)edenn14232009-04-07

I agree. What's with the office supply fetish?

sammel (author)2011-01-19

sweet kit, horrible spelling.

suemarina1965 (author)2010-09-05

Nice Kit , Keep up the good work.

survivor dude (author)2009-10-21

yeah i know some of u think this kit sucks. but what ever i was young and stupid.

nnygamer (author)2008-07-27

Matches? I'd use a magnesium stick with flint.

codongolev (author)nnygamer2009-10-13

yes.

lilpepsikraker (author)2009-08-11

where's the mylar blankey? tent? dehydraded food? water? a cooking stove? try spelling survival and putting together one before you post an instructable.

SKYNET 2.0 (author)2009-03-01

survival

SKYNET 2.0 (author)2009-03-01

i'd believe it if YOU COULD SPELL!

Father Christmas (author)2009-02-23

this seems more like an -emergency-gotta-fish-right-this-minute kit lol

zimmemic25 (author)2009-02-06

if u stick the hooks in be careful, its an survival kit, not an ram-a-hook-in-ur-finger-kit.

jayro707 (author)2009-01-29

__cool__

poopmypants (author)2008-12-16

Sgt.Waffles (author)2008-07-27
