Make your 3/4ths empty 2 liter soda explode into a huge fountain!!

Step 1: materials

2 liter soda bottle(1/3 filled with soda)
don't run amaze yourself!!!!!! JK Better run!
you wouldn't actually blow up. It just hurts you for a long time.. I tried it. It hurt for about 6 days. Do not try it~
No, the mentos + soda will expand in your stomach and you will explode. Obviously.
actually that has been tested on mythbusters execpt with pop rocks and soda.. and with a pig stumache. it expanded but no explosion. maybeh internal pain...lots of it but yuh it will hurt. and it will be oozing out our mouth and probly sufficate on it : )
well i tried this with 1 mentos and it didnt work (I didnt read that you had to use a whole pack) so i chugged the 2 litre and ate the rest of the mentos and nothing happend
If you drink the soda before you eat the mentos, the soda would have already fizzed and thus doesn't make a big reaction. They tested it wrong on MythBusters. The guy ate the mentos then the soda. Not soda then mentos. They do alot of things wrong, but, it is a fun show.
or you'll fart
Can I drink the soda later if I got a chance to catch the 'falling soda' with a can?
after the reaction it goes flat
what happens if you quickly put on the cap.
or you'd have a rocket
It would explode, I believe.
I haven’t been able to make Mentos explode yet. I’ve have gotten some great reactions and some high jets but no exploding bottles. I’ll have to try this project latter. As a side note, warm soda works better than cold soda.
they did this on mythbusters!
The gum arabic is what causes the reaction. Get some at your local art supply store, and skip the Mentos.
or u could trust mythbusters and believe that it is also the tiny holes on the mentos that create pionts for the carbon dioxide to form bubbles. and that its something else too.....cant remember...
and heres more info<br/><a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.eepybird.com/science1.html">http://www.eepybird.com/science1.html</a><br/>
Argh, timeout errors.

There is an alternate theory: <br/><a rel="nofollow" href="http://eepybird.com/science1.html">http://eepybird.com/science1.html</a><br/><br/>
Do you drop just one Mento, or the whole pack? I will have to try this sometime. It makes me curious.
The whole pack, and you have to be quick about it. Otherwise, the fountain is only a foot or so.
If anybody doubts this one, it <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiment/00000109">does actually work</a>.<br/><br/>Hooray, science!<br/>
