TOOLS NEEDED:

-SCISSORS

-SANDPAPER

-DUST MASK

-DISPOSABLE GLOVES

-CRAFT GLUE

PARTS LIST:

-WATER GUN

-SPRAY PAINT(HAMMERED SILVER)

-MATTE FINISH CLEAR COAT SRAY

-PRINTED LABEL

STEPS:

FACT: ALMOST ALL PLASTICS NOWADAYS, ESPECIALLY WATER GUNS, HAVE A CLEAR COATING OVER THEM. THIS COATING PREVENTS THINGS LIKE WATER OR PAINT FROM CLINGING TO THE PLASTIC'S SURFACE.

1. SAND ENTIRE WATER GUN UNTIL IT IS NO LONGER GLOSSY AND UNTIL FEELS LIKE DRY SKIN.

2. WIPE ENTIRE WATER GUN DOWN WITH DAMP PAPER TOWEL TO REMOVE PARTICLES CREATED FROM SANDING.(THE BROWN PAPER TOWELS LEAVE BEHIND PARTICLES, DONT USE THOSE).

3. ONCE SURFACE IS CLEAN AND DRY SPRAY BLACK SPRAY PAINT OVER THE WATER GUN. YOU CAN SUSPEND IT FROM A HOOK THAT IS GRAPPLED IN THE HOLE THAT YOU USE TO FILL THE WATER GUN WITH WATER. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO GET ALL SIDES, THUS REDUCING DRYING AND CURING TIME.

FACT: WHEN PAINT IS DRY, IT IS STILL GIVING OFF CHEMICAL GASSES. WHEN PAINT IS APPLIED OVER THIS, IT CAN RUIN IT. THIS CAN RUIN PAINTJOBS. THAT IS WHY I WAIT FOR THE PAINT TO CURE. CURING TIME- LAMENS TERMS: WHEN THOSE SMELLY GASSES STOP BEING GIVEN OFF. THIS CAN TAKE UP TO A WEEK! UGH! HOWEVER, IT IS EASY TO TELL WHEN IT HAS CURED. SMELL THE PAINT, IF DOESNT SMELL LIKE CHEMICAL GASSES, IT HAS NOT CURED YET. WAIT UNTIL IT NO LONGER SMELLS LIKE CHEMICAL GASSES TO APPLY A NEW COLOR OF PAINT.

4. WAIT FOR PAINT TO DRY AND CURE.

5. SPRAY SILVER SPRAY PAINT OVER.

6. WAIT FOR PAINT TO DRY AND CURE.

7. SPRAY MATTE CLEAR COAT OVER.

8. WAIT FOR MATTE CLEAR COAT TO DRY AND CURE.

9. CUT OUT PRINTED LABEL CAREFULLY WITH SCISSORS.

10. APPLY CRAFT GLUE TO THE BACK OF LABEL AND SMOOTH WITH FINGER UNTIL THERE IS A THIN, EVEN COATING.

11. QUICKLY AND CAREFULLY APPLY LABEL TO DESIRED AREAS ON WATER GUN.

12. ALLOW CRAFT GLUE TO DRY.

13. SPRAY MATTE CLEAR COAT LIGHTLY OVER LABEL.

14. WAIT FOR MATTE CLEAR COAT TO DRY AND CURE.

15. ADD ANY WEATHERING PAINT JOBS OR OTHERWISE THAT YOU WANT, SUCH AS, BURNED BARREL, OLD GUN METAL, ETC...(BE CAREFUL OF THE LABEL)

16. DONE!

THE LABEL I USED:

I USED THE LASER WARNING. THE LASER WARNING LOOKS LIKE A SUN WITH AN EXTRA LONG LINE JUTTING OUT TO THE RIGHT.
