This is my contribution to the many Duct tape wallets out there. I was inspired by some of the minimalist wallet online and at "everyday-carry.com". I made some for the kids they love them.

This wallet is very simple to make and looks great when you use 2 different tape colors as you can see.
It has a section for notes and 2 pocket on eater side for cards.

Hope you have fun making one.

Step 1: Make the paper template.

1. The things you will need.
2. Divide the paper into three I used 7cm for each section, cut off the execs.
3. Fold the paper in half to get the mid line.
4. Measure 10cm from the mid line to ether sides and cut off the exec.
5. Use the inside of a duct tape role and mark an arc in the center segment on the mid line.
6. Make folds on the segment lines.

Now you are ready for the Duct tape.

My daughter just made me one out of digital camo duct tape. Awesome... :)

Awesome wallet. I've made one outta packing tape so its totally clear and its pretty rad. I made a template and printed it on a transparency sheet. I'm attaching the template for all to enjoy. Just cut out the gray sections and fold on the black lines!

Good idea I think I'll make one too.

Thank you for the -ible! I have made a couple of duct tape wallets but never used them because they were too thick. The success for this is, I believe the lack of extra layers a more complicated design uses.

I like the paper core too. It makes the patern easier to handle than sticking tape to tape....(ever try to separate it when there is a wrinkle or a missalignment? Ouch!)
Did you use the thinnest tape you could find? That was going to be my next try, to find the cheapest and therefor thinnest tape out there.
I think this will be a well used wallet when I make it.
Thanks again!
Chris

PS: Where did you find the colorful designed tape?

I got it at the HomeDepot. Not sure if it's the thinnest.

A tip to prevent the tape from sticking to munch is to lightly wet it with you finger, I used this trick when cutting out the hole in the wallet.

Martin.

Thank you for the tip!
To clarify, do you dip your finger in water and put it lightly on the whole surface before you stick it? Then I guess it would set after you are sure of the position and press it together?

Yes I use a little water but only on the hole part after I have stuck it down, just to stop it from sticking to the scissors.
You could try it when sticking two pieces of tape together but I'm not sure if it will work.

Love the design, looks a little bit like a mighty wallet, but made better. I`m going to make this for sure.
