I first planned to fiberglass one from pepakura prints yet I couldn't find time or materials or even money for that so I saved a lot from making one out of K'NEX. I hadn't seen something like this at all on the internet (trust me, I really looked hard) so I probably made the first one. I also made a deadmau5 one too but I didn't have enough K'NEX for both so I scrapped it. I'm pretty sure someone can figure out how to make one of these from these pictures.
EDIT: One more thing, some pieces don't work as they should so if you try building this you may see pieces bend. None have broken on me so far but you are still warned.7

Cheating? Maybe it is, but it's very hard getting the K'NEX to fit on and keep hold on someones head. Would you have any suggestions on that?

Yeah, I a kid just posted a 'K'NEX' Pepsi hat, try using bendy rods to put on your head. Try and build from that, but if it doesn't work just ask for more suggestions.

just add in more connectors to some spots maybe around and above the helmet to make it look more solid.
