Well here is  the very first thing i have made by means of Steampunk as well as the first piece for my company TheSteamTrunk so i hope you like it please let me know what you think.

Oh, it's nice, but do colourful plastic gears really say "steampunk"? How about giving them a brass or copper metallic finish?

i used to think the same thing but i frequent conventions and ive talked to people like Airship Isabella which is one of the biggest steampunk organizations and they have given me tips and they said stay way from that very thought steampunk is not all bronze and brown it has alot but dull colors are good to remember steampunk is what the Victorian era thought that the future would look like purples reds browns blues where a big part of there style the slight accents of color add to it so yes color dos say steampunk more so then most people think how ever only in small amounts which is why only the one gear is painted that dull red ( i relize now that i tried to alter the picture make it look better that gear is actually well a very deep dull red almost rust colored but unfortunately the [photo as you said is not good
