This furniture is not Native American. It is made for the comfort and use of people today in modern Tipis. The Native Americans followed the Buffalo herds and had to pack up quickly and travel light. This stuff would never make it in the world of nomadic type peoples. Their Tipis and their gear were quickly packed and ready to go in a matter of minutes! Until horses were traded, dogs were used to pull many of their loads. FYI

Lag screws should be countersunk or drilled to fasten the upper and lower logs to each other!
