Toddlers and Tiaras Costume

For my costume this year I created a fabulous pageant toddler costume from things found at thrift stores, around the house and borrowed.

It consists of a fluffy petticoat skirt I found in the children's section at Goodwill, a purple tank that I embellished with some rhinestones and lace, a sash made from wide white ribbon and iron on letters, very tan tights, socks with lace glued on, old white dress shoes with some sparkles added, a sparkly tiara I had from a previous costume, and of course the very important spray tan from a bottle.

I curled my hair into perfect spiral curls and set it with hairspray, added a matching bow, some earrings and a necklace, and I was ready to SPARKLE!

I watched a few clips of their classic pageant moves and copied them all night. It was a big hit, especially with friends who were in pageants as children, and who are fans of the show.
