Introduction: Tragwerk

"Tragwerk" dient als Arbeitsfläche oder bietet je nach Aufbau nützlichen Stauraum in Form von Hängemöglichkeiten.
Die Konstruktion bildet ein Zentrum und strukturiert modernen Lebensraum. Gleichzeitig wird der Kreativität den nötigten Raum geboten.

"Tragwerk" servs as a working surface or as a wardrobe. With creativity it's easily expandable for all sorts of tasks.

Step 1: Required Materials

  • 8x Wood batten (spruce will do) 24 x 48 x 1800 mm
  • 1x Wood batten 20 x 40 x 1140 mm
  • 2x Blockboard or Plywood 20 x 500 x 1400 mm (just 1x for the wardrobe; 2x Woodbatten 24 x 48 x 900 instead)
  • 12x Dowels (Hardwood, beech for example) 80 mm, 12 mm diameter
  • Accessory cord approximately 9000 mm, 3 mm diameter, about 220 daN

  • Felt (self-adhesive) for the legs

Used tools

  • screwdriver, 8mm drill bit
  • jigsaw
  • a wire with a hook (simplifies threading the cord)

Step 2: Cut Wood

  • Prepare the wood according the dimensional plan above.
  • Sand it and bevel the edges
  • Ad felt to the bottom of the legs
  • Cut the cord according the dimensional plan and tie 6 slings

Step 3: Assembly

  • Put two A-Elements on the floor
  • Attach B
  • Attach D (for the work surface) or E (for the wardrobe)
  • Apply other A-Elements
  • Tie legs together at the bottom with H (gentle) (lace-schema H). Turn F to tighten.
  • Put "Tragwerk" on its feet
  • Tie legs together in the upper part with G (lace-schema G). Turn F to tighten
  • Tie H
  • Aplie I as shown in the manual
  • Apply C
