With the embroidery floss form buttonholes: one on top, one in the middle, and one on the bottom of the side seam with overlap.  Knot two pieces of floss together at one end of the floss and with a needle put them through the seam with the knot inside.  Knot the floss with the half knot shown below until it is long enough to allow the button to go through.  With the needle send the floss back through the seam and knot inside.  Repeat for the other buttonholes and whip stitch the lining closed.
