Introduction: Tropical Pasta Salad

About: I have been sewing and crafting for several years, my children are grown so now I have lots of time to be creative. I enjoy photography, cooking, cake decorating, painting and sharing my projects with others.

This pasta salad is tasty and perfect for a summertime lunch.

The recipe makes quite a bit so there's plenty for left overs!

Step 1: Ingredients

1 pound (16 ounces) Farfalle Pasta

3 cups cubed ham

8 ounces cubed cheddar cheese

1 red bell pepper

1 cup sliced green onions

1 can pineapple chunks (juice reserved)

1 cup Miracle Whip

black pepper

Step 2: Cook Pasta

Bring water to a boil and cook pasta for 11-12 minutes.

Drain Pasta well. Let pasta set in cool water while you prepare the other ingredients. Drain again.

Step 3: Cube Ham and Cheese

Cut the ham into bite size cubes.

Cut the cheese into bite size cubes also.

Step 4: Chop Vegetables

Slice the green onions and chop the red pepper.

Step 5: Dressing

Drain pineapple chunks. Mix 1/2 cup of the reserved pineapple juice with 1 cup Miracle Whip.

Add 1/2 tsp black pepper.

Stir well.

Step 6: Combine Ingredients

Place the pasta in an extra large bowl. Add Ham and cheese.

Add red pepper and green onion.

Add the pineapple chunks.

Stir well and pour the salad dressing over.

Stir well to combine ingredients.

Makes 10-12 servings.
