Truly semi automatic knex gun

This gun is based off of KNEmovies design, but not his mechansim. the mechansim may be similar to his, but mine is not that complicated. My gun is not that powerful, as it only shoots 5-10 ft. I hope you enjoy my semi - auto gun.

Step 1 The Handle

This is the construction of the handle. Very simple.


1 Build 2 of these (a)
2. Build 3 of these (b)
3. Connect one of (a) to a blue rod.
4. Connect all of (b) to the blue rod.
5. Connect the last (a) to blue rod

if you don't build the orange conector and the bleu rod it shoots better nice gun anyway i like the mech

This gun is not that great i used my best rubber bands (usaully increses the range about 20 feet) but it does not work very well not even 8 feet of range.

this gun is a nice design but it lacks in power so i upgraded i to i stronger fire pin and elongated the barrel now it shoots 50 ft for instructions write a comment

A factor that makes this gun lose power is the make shift hinge connecting the hammer to the ram. If you used a real hinge it would stop the loss to power.

The faster the trigger move the more power it has +more mass on the pin and top it of with small ammo. Mass x Acceleration = Force. Being a geek is awsome

dude you are the first person ive seen that actually built a TRUE semi-auto knex gun. Some people think they have but they havent. i have seen your mechanism in a revolver cap gun before, and is that where you got it? Anyways truely great gun even thogh the range isnt the best. 5*

One problem, when I pull the trigger, nothing shoots. Instead, the bullet gets stuck in the magazine.
