I knitted this purse for my sister-in-law for her birthday. The top border is a cabled piece that was knitted on straight needles and then joined together at the seams. The body of the bag was then joined to the top piece by circular needles. The body of the bag was a cable pattern that I created. I sewed the bottom of the bag to seam, and then did a 4 stitch i-cord that was attached to the inside of the bag.
