The "Tsunami Hangover" Breakfast Melt. By Good Dad Bad Man

Japanese say Tsunami is: Big Wave in Little Harbor. Its unfortunate but true some hangovers are bigger then others. What is fortunate is a cure for any size hangover can be shared. Life on the So Cal coast includes Tsunami warnings from time to time. Here's a Tsunami warning for you. It's rolling ashore and it's BIG!

Step 1: Ingredients

This sandwich requires a man on a mission. If you want to be a real hero I suggest making this tall order before a night on the town. You can cook the separate components and refrigerate. When you get home you only have to turn on the oven to cook the bread and heat up. A short assembly time later you'll have an epic munch to share with who ever.

 • 3 each Sara Lee White Sandwich Rolls made Cheezzy Parmesan Bread style
 • 4 ounces sliced Farmer John's Ham
 • 2 each strips Farmer John's Bacon
 • 2 each link Farmer John's Skinless Link Sausage
 • 2 each sliced Sargento Mild Cheddar Cheese
 • 2 each sliced Sargento Pepper Jack Cheese
 • 2 each EGG-LAND's BEST Organic Large Brown Grade A Eggs
 • 4 ounces shredded Potato for Hash Browns
 • 1 each half California Grown Avocado
 • 1 ounce diced Medium Mushrooms
 • 1 ounce finely diced Red Onion
 • 1 tablespoon chopped Green Onion

Step 2: Instructions

First Level

 • On a sheet pan start with the bottom piece of Sara Lee White Sandwich Roll (made Cheezzy Parmesan style) for the foundation.

 • Then add 1 each slice of Sargento Pepper Jack Cheese.
 • Take 1 each EGG-LAND's BEST Organic Large Brown Eggs scrambled with 1 ounce diced Medium Mushroom

 • Then add 1 each slice Sargento Pepper Jack Cheese.

 • 2 each diced cooked Farmer John's Skinless Link Sausage and finely diced Red Onion put on top of the cheese bacon and tomato.
 • Fan out 1 each half CaliforniaGrown Avocado to cover the egg scrambler.
 • Then add 1 each slice of Sargento Mild Cheddar Cheese.
 • Finally On the sheet pan place in preheated oven for 2 to 3 minutes at 375 degrees.
 • Time may vary so monitor the"Tsunami" while in the oven until cheese is at its melty goodness.
 • Remove from oven and place the two levels along with the top bun on a cutting board to assemble.
 • Stack the second level on top of the first level and place the top sandwich roll to complete.

Step 3: DONE!

It's a mouth full with every bite. This level of Hangover only occurs once in awhile so enjoy then go to bed and sleep it off. With this bad boy in your belly you're sure to wake up a winner and ready for round two.

Sounds DELICIOUS! My only issue would be trying to eat it all, or finding others to share it with.

This was a lot of fun to make! I'm sure once you get this on the table you will have no problem finding people to share it with!

Dagwood Bumstead of 1930's to 1950's comic strip fame was renowned for his Bumstead sandwiches that were similar and predated the tsunamis by many generations.

But your tsunami is a true masterpiece.

Do you suppose a hippopotamus could down it in one bite?

That's great that you know that. I affectionately name a couple sandwiches on my site Dagwoods after the comic. Thank!
