Introduction: Turkey Cake Pops

Thanksgiving is almost here. Wouldn't these little turkeys be cute on the table??

Step 1: Supplies

Get started by gathering your supplies.
You are going to need:
Lollipop Sticks, Black Food Writing Marker, Chocolate Candy Melts, Wax Paper, Swedish Fish, Gummy Hats, Mini M&M's, White Nonpareils, Wilton Triangle Sprinkles, Flower Sprinkles, Candy Coated Sunflower Seeds.
And it's always a good idea to have toothpicks handy.

Step 2:

Step 1: Using your cake recipe of choice, shape the cake ball into a pear shape, using the wide end as the base.
Step 2: Dip the lollipop stick in the melted chocolate about 1/2 inch. Place that end into the base of the pop.
Go about half way.
Step 3: Dip the cake pop. Cover completely.

Step 3:

Step 4: After the pop is covered, gently tap the stick on the edge of the bowl to drip off the excess. Then set the cake pop in a stand to dry.
Step 5: Dab a small amount of chocolate onto wax paper, spread into a circle about the size of a quarter.
Step 6: Arrange five Swedish Fish as shown, placing the ends in the chocolate.

Step 4:

Step 7: Let Swedish Fish sit in the chocolate for a few minutes until it hardens. Notice how I had to cut off the tip of center fish to make fit.
Step 8: Drizzle a thin line of chocolate down the back of the cake pop. This will act as the "glue" to the "feathers".
Step 9: Press the back of the cake pop against the Swedish Fish still placed on the wax paper. Give the pop time to adhere. Allow 2-3 minutes before the next step.

Step 5:

Step 10: Once the cake pop is secure to the "feathers", gently peel away from the wax paper.
Step 11: With a toothpick, dab a small amount of chocolate on the front of the cake pop, slightly above center.
Step 12: Place the triangle sprinkle for the nose.

Step 6:

Step 13: Using the same techniques in steps 11 and 12, dab melted chocolate on the cake pop and place the gobble, feet, eyes, and wings.
Step 14: Using the food marker, add pupils to the eyes.
Step 15: All done!

Step 7: All Done
