Picture of Turkey Chili
I love Chili its one of my favorite foods of all time and if well made has more than just Spicy going on flavor wise

This Recipe will use up a large chunk of your left over Thanksgiving turkey. I made it for my family for the next day and they loved it.

I got the idea of doing this after watching a show on BBC America talk about using Left over turkey from Christmas to make turkey curry.

This recipe will take longer to read than it will to make, I gave myself almost 2 hours I only needed around 30 min.

Step 1: Ingredients

Picture of Ingredients
1 pound of Turkey
1 small Onion (white or yellow work best)
4 Ounces Diced Mild Green Chilies
14 Ounces Black Beans
Chick-Peas (drain and rinse)
Kidney Beans (drain and rinse)
28 Ounces Diced Tomatoes, undrained
8 Ounces Tomato Sauce (not the stuff you put on spaghetti your looking for a can not a bottle)
1to2 tablespoons Chili Powder
Half as much Cumin as Chili powder

Optional:
Rice (if you want it con Carné)
Sharp Cheddar (shredded and melted over)
Tortilla Chips
Lime Juice

Step 2: Prep

Dice up the onion and brown em up i like them still on the crisp side

While the Onion is cooking break up the turkey so its bite sized. While you can use a knife to do this, I found it was faster to just use my hands an pull it apart for most of it.

Step 3: Cook

Picture of Cook
Get the biggest pot you have (i would have like to use a bigger one if i had had one) you'll need the room when you mix the ingredients together

take all the ingredients and add them to the pot bring the pot to a simmer.

Once it does add the turkey and onions.

Stir everything together and let it sit till the liquid bubbles.

Step 4: Serve

Personally i like Chili over rice w some melted cheese but there are a lot of ways to serve it (see Optional Ingredients for some suggestions).

this recipe is for 8-10 servings but over rice it is more like 12 servings

I'm making this for dinner tonight! Yum!
looks awesome-hope i have enough turkey left to do this and be rid of it all! btw, while chili con carne IS usually served with rice, the "con carne" means with meat. so you could say the rice or "arroz" is an uncredited ingredient
