This step should be pretty easy depending on what kind of camera you have. Most TI calculators have a 2.5mm audio jack used for linking two calculators together. It turns out my EOS rebel uses the same type of jack, and there is no conversion required.

However, if your camera uses a different size audio cable, you might need to use a adapter. Even worse, if it uses a different shape connector, you might have to buy or make an adapter (I know cameras like the canon 10D have shutter release plugs that are specially made for them, it's very hard to find these types of connectors).

I have a Canon 40D and a TI-89. I created the program on the 89 and I have the 2.5mm cable but it looks like the 40D only has the shutter release connection pictured in the second thumbnail above. I'm up for ordering one of these remote shutter release buttons and doing some hack and slash work. Has anyone done this before or know how or of another way around with the 10/20/30/40/50D series? Thanks!

FYI, I ended up buying and splicing some cords. Here's my writeup. Hope this helps someone.

My calculator only came with a USB cable. So instead of ordering one from TI I went down to Radio Shack. They didn't have any 2.5 mm Cables. But they did have 1/8th inch to 2.55 mm adapters. So I bought a 1/8th inch cable, and two 1/8th inch to 2.55mm adapters. Would using this makeshift cable be the reason I can't get this to work?
