Introduction: Tv Rgb Led Strip Hidden Light

Hi all,

This is a simple idea to make your tv and place more alive:

All you need from materials are in the images...

The leds are attached with build in adhesive tape(see images)

Te power supply is rated at 10 amps 12 volts to work lightly and not overloaded(6 amps over the leds).

There are a lot of low cost kits on ebay...

You can have a look here:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&...

Estimating cost: 25 euro

Estimating time : one afternoon and a geek coffee!

Best regards

Fanis

Looks cool! How did you attach the LEDs to the TV? Can you take them off easily? What's your power source? I'd love to see more written documentation!

    Hi my friend!

Thank you for your good words...

The leds are attached with build in adhesive tape(see images)

    i've updated the info

nice work, but maybe a bit overkill. How does it look when you only do the 2 short sides and the top of the tv?

    Thanks my friend!
At first i tried that but at the bottom too.
    I created a rectangle....
It is good but not as much light as you want...
    5050 leds aren't powerful enough.
So decided to do it that way

I have a strip like that as well, 5m 5050 rgb leds, and lights the entire bedroom.
Maybe you should put them under an angle outwards so you don't just throw the light against the wall;)
Have seen some people making ambilight with much less leds and still looked amazing!!

I dont disagree with you my friend...

Its up to you how many leds you gonna use...

This is my choise of my needings...

Whatever you do the watts per meter are given the amount of loumens heating the wall and break the night.

As many leds as many loumens.

    Make your choise : )
