Introduction: Twilight Themed Wolf (Jacob) Topper

If you have a Twilight fan in your life make these as a special treat for their birthday or when you've just purchased the newly released movie on dvd & are having a bunch of friends over to watch it. I made these cupcakes for my daughter's class on her birthday, they were a hit! The boys liked them cause they all had bloody centers when they bite into them & the girls all LOVED them cause well... who doesn't  find Edward or Jacob just dreamy....

This Instructables is only to show you how to make an edible wolf (Jacob) topper for your cupcakes. In the future, I plan on doing a tutorial on vampire cupcakes.

Step 1: Ingrediants Needed

What you'll need:

- Parchment paper
- pan
- dark chocolate chips
- microwavable container (for melting the chocolate chips)
- decorating tip size 3
- decorating bag or plastic ziplock bag
- picture of Wolf  (or free hand it if you'd like)

As you most likely won't using a full bag of chocolate chips, see my other Instructables on how to make homemade chocolate pudding

Step 2: Prepare Pan

Place your wolf picture on your pan. Feel free to fill up an entire page by repeating your image if you don't want to move it around.

Lay parchment paper over the entire pan.

Step 3: Prepare Decorating Bag

Prepare your decorating bag

A ziplock bag will work in place of a decorating bag. Just use one of the corners and snip off  a tiny bit.

I find placing the bag over a cup helps free up your hands and makes it easier to get the filling inside the bag

Step 4: Melt the Chocolate

In a microwave safe container melt the chocolate in intervals of 15-20 seconds until completely melted and smooth. Make sure you use a spatula to stir the chocolate each time before heating it again.

The amount of chocolate you use depends on how many you will be wanting to decorate with the Jacob/wolf toppers. I melted 4oz of chocolate and made about 15 of them.

Pour chocolate  into decorating bag

Step 5: Making the Wolves

Outline the wolf first, then pick an area and start zig-zagging back and forth filling the inside of the wolf. Leave an empty little circle where the eye should be if you want the wolf to have an eye.

Move your image around filling up the enitre surface of parchement paper. I find you should always make atleast 2x as many wolves as you need. This allows you to pick the very best ones and gives you extras incase some break.

When completed, place in the pan in the freezer for 10 minutes. This allows the chocolate to set.

Step 6: Edible Wolves

Once the wolves are out  of the freezer, you can either place them on top of your cupcakes or if you've made them a day or so in advance, place them in a tupperware container and store them in the fridge.

Step 7: Extra Wolves on Your Hands???

Got some extra wolves on your hands???  Use them to decorate other things such as Homemade Chocolate pudding...
