L.E.D. hero says: Nov 4, 2009. 4:04 PM
Here are mine... i made two. one is a '34 ford an the other is some cheap one that looked cool from target. I used a wire that the ends were stripped and use a 3-volt on it because i was too lazy to find a usb cord.

(P.S.) macro rocks!

is there a way to put in a battery and maybe like a switch, so its portable underglow?
raykholo in reply to klingonprinsDec 5, 2008. 1:12 PM
see: Battery Free, USB Powered LED Torch
just mod it a bit and put in a usb jack instead so u can charge it with a 2 sided usb plug cable...

how did you get the body to stay on?
Knetjester (author) in reply to Mr.NHRAAug 15, 2008. 3:27 AM
Use a hot glue gun, or you could use some tiny self tapping screws, if you have a drill bit small enough to drill out the rivets.
Gh{O}sT in reply to Mr.NHRAAug 14, 2008. 11:33 PM
probly a tiny bit of glue

I was thinking, I've got an old bluetooth headset lying around I'm sure the battery is small enough to fit inside the car. No need to switch it off, just let the battery die, then recharge. Over all a great Instructable.

you could also build a USB flash drive into the car and use it like that, with the drives LED wired into better LEDS. good instructable though
Knetjester (author) in reply to xboxteen01Oct 2, 2007. 5:30 PM
Great idea, unfortunately it is 1:25 am (Don't think my family would appreciate me getting out the Dremmel!) or I would get to work on it right now.#
