Mr.Dan, If I want to put an ac power supply to your project by using a ADC converter, what should I do so that I still get that monstrous lighting capability?

Can smaller batteries be used like rechargable 9 volts and then have everything attached to the headband itself? or would this be too bulky and heavy. This would be great for Hurricane season here in hawaii

First of all I must say somethig: THANK YOU SO MUCH DAN FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE. I'd like to ask if this is waterproof? I mean, can I ride even with rain? thanks

If it isn't which it looks like it is, I'm sure you could give it a once over with some hot glue, making it water proof without compromising the overall look and power.

Very nice project! One thing to note is that when objects are illuminated with non-white light they will not necessarily be as easily recognized. For example, when using green light for illumination, anything that is green will appear as pure white. I one time "lost" my orange motor scooter in Rome when I came back to it in the evening after I had parked it during daytime. The city of Rome used orange colored street lights and my orange scooter appeared to be bright white under that orange illumination. It was confusing to say the least since my lock and chain were attached to a different scooter. Not sure what issues, if any, may crop up from using green light for illumination, but thought I'd pass along this little bit of information.

Just wow Dan! I am a fan of these LED headlamps after doing many installations in the attic and bases... and caving in Georgia on the weekends. These hands free lights are fantastic for any long situations you find yourself in the dark. Thanks for sharing the info on the different light wavelength. This mod is perfect for Christmas gift giving. Thanks again just love it!
