you will need an old headlamp mount (or you could make yourself one from a bungee-strap and plastic). you will have to figure the best way to attach your LED/heatsink to your headlamp since it depends on the details. for my headlamp, i cut two simple pieces of plastic (shown below)

Rondos you are right in my opinion as it is dangerous however if you are a sensible rider a helmet would be worn and the mount for the light would cover most of the fins, also a piece of foam could be stuck on the back. I hope this helps

I'd just like to know that you have really thought through the potential injuries you could suffer if you should be thrown off your bike, given the array of head sink fins pointed right at your skull?
