This is a complex build spy car. I used a remote control toy car from "mecano" and installed a wireless night vision spy cam that I bought in ebay for 20$ with shipping. This car originaly worked with 6x AA batteries ( 9v ) but i mod it to fit a 9.6v recheargable batterie pack. this car was very fast but i placed a resitor in the motor so the car would slow down a bit to have more control while I wach it in the TV. The camera uses it´s own power souce ( 9v batteries in both sides of the car. I also installed 6x LEDs from a 9LED flashlight in the from of the car so I could turn them on/off remotly.
What makes it realy great is that i can drive it in the dark thanks to the cam´s IR LEDs!

Cool. just wondering how do you turn off and on the led lights remotely? Another channel or is it just tied into the motor? Can i suggest to mod your front wheels to turn more i.e. make holes in the (thing that turns the wheel) closer to the pivot point so that it has a smaller turn radius.
Did it on my old radio shack lighting dp car and now i could drift better. Also opened up the rear differential and sealed in a starch and water solution for the LSD effect.

There is an Instructable that shows a fifth unused channel and how to access it. I agree that would be a nice addition for the LEDs.
