Note that plastics bottles not designed for carbonated beverages are probably not going to stand up to 50psi internal pressure. Soda bottles (and the preforms they come from) should be OK (but note that a 1l soda bottle pressurized to 50psi contains a lot more energy than a preform (~50ml) preform.
