Making Holder for the battery.
For this, i think its hard to get your batteries, i wouldnt want to use 12v car battery as they are huge and a hassle to handle due to its weight too. For me i use my rc 7.2v battery, for you guys you may want to use 6 1.5 volts rechargeble laying around your house. USE RECHARGEBLES! not disposibles, they SUCK!.. haha
for me i just use the leftove cardboard for to hold the battery.ive also wrapped the ugly wires with some covering.

Electronics only draw the power in amperages they need. A car battery would not hurt the fan at all. You could hook a fan like this up to 400 car batteries wired in parallel and nothing fancy would happen other than that fan would be going for a long time. If you wired up 400 car batteries in series, you would definitely obliterate the fan. So yes.

Yeah right!!! i had xbox360 2 in 1 fan and i hooked it up with 2 x 18 v batteries and suddenly the fans exploded and the smoke came out!

Wired in series, or parallel? You probably over-volted it. 12v is the normal rating for fans like that, so 1 18v battery probably destroyed it. I am right, go look it up.
