Unusual Uses for Toothpaste

Step 1: Clean Silver Item

Wet the silver item and then apply small amount of toothpaste on the item. Scrub it with wire/sponge scrubber until it takes away the black appearance.

Let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse it thoroughly with running tap water.

You will see the silver item looks brighter and shinier.

( The above pic is one wash. If the tarnish is still there, repeat the process for 2-3 time. you will see the immediate improvement )

Step 2: Clean Kitchen and Bathroom Chrome

Cleaning chrome with toothpaste gives awesome result. Take a small amount of toothpaste in sponge, rub it on chrome and then wash thoroughly with water. That's all! It will look just like a new kitchen/bathroom chrome

Step 3: Remove Stains From Fabric

If your favorite dress got stains with ink or lipstick. Do not worry. You can just wipe it off with toothpaste.

Wet the stained area and apply small amount of toothpaste in it. Rub it with both hands until it wipe away. Wash the toothpaste thoroughly with water. No more stain in the fabric :)

Step 4: Remove Crayons From Wall

My little one is gonna be 3 in few months. She likes to scribble in walls instead of her colorbook. I have tried many stain removers to get off those from walls. But toothpaste works great.

Apply some amount of toothpaste on scribbled area, wet the sponge with water and scrub it until it all gone. Finally wipe all the toothpaste with wet cloth. That's all.

Hereafter no worries about crayons mark on the walls.. Happy daughter, Happy mommy :)

Step 5: Clean Kitchen and Bathroom Sink

Instead of using sink cleaner, you can use toothpaste to clean kitchen/bathroom sink.

Apply some toothpaste on wire scrub and scrub the sink until all dirt gone.

wash the sink well with water.

Step 6: Remove Stains From Plastic and Wooden Surfaces

Toothpaste easily removes the stains from plastic and wood surfaces.

Apply some amount of toothpaste on stained area, wet the sponge with water and scrub away all the dirt.

Finally wipe all the toothpaste with wet cloth.

Step 7: Soothe Minor Burns

For minor burns ( it shouldn't be open wound) , you can use toothpaste for instant relief.

Wet the area with cold water, apply some tooth paste on it. It will immediately soothe the burning sensation.

Step 8: Clean Smell From Hands

I used to wash my hands with toothpaste, after cleaning fish. It deodorize the smell from hands.

Apply some toothpaste in hand and rub it with both hands. Then rinse under water. It immediately take away the stinky smell from hands.
