Step 7Cut Out The Stop And Apertures

Cut Out The Stop And Apertures
Cut out the disc. You now have two options:

1. Using the disc as a template, drill the aperture holes into a lenscap.

2. Cut out the apertures. Using scissors, this is easiest if you temporarily fold the disc along the center line through the two apertures and then cut the folded piece. For the truly tiny apertures that are commonly needed with compact cameras, it is easier to use a pin or needle to make the holes.

If you have access to a stencil or laser cutter, that is the most precise way to do this!

In any case, you now have a stop with left and right apertures.
